Bellagio has a reputation as one of the top 5 or 6 upscale casino and hotel resorts in Las Vegas. Just walking through the casino and lobby areas is quite an experience. Like the Venetian, the atmosphere is that of a giant museum; and it's all kept sparkling clean. Click the "Attractions" menu option at their web site for the schedule of their famous musical water fountain show. We've seen an opera version, a Celine Dion version, and an almost absurd version that used music from an old Clint Eastwood western. (While the music is quite dramatic, which is obviously the effect they were going for... standing in front of the majestic Bellagio while simultaneously recalling the final scene in "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" just strikes me as absurd.) Although it is called a "spaghetti Western" for being filmed in Italy, and Bellagio is very much Italian in its design. Perhaps it's some kind of inside joke.
