While not as obscure as the Aztec Inn, Algiers, Diamond Motel and other strip properties that you rarely ever hear anyone mentioning; the Boardwalk Holiday Inn is similar in its reputation as a place you wouldn't choose to spend your vacation unless it was the only hotel that had a room available. Their little casino is not unpleasant for stopping by if you're walking that way. Those who have survived to tell about it recommend avoiding their "Surf Buffet."

UPDATE: January 2006, the Boardwalk has permanently closed and will be replaced by "Project City Center".
