Contrary to popular belief, you can't just get married on a whim in Las Vegas. You do have to get a marriage license first. But the Clark County Marriage License Bureau is open 8 a.m. to midnight every day including holidays, and there is no blood test or wait required to get the license. Just be age 18+ and pay the $60 cash fee (no credit cards or checks accepted). They also require a female bride and male groom... Nevada does not license gay marriages yet.
