Low budget casino/hotel in one of the most poverty-stricken areas of Las Vegas. If you drive north along Las Vegas Blvd.
and turn right on Fremont Street, the El Cortez is a few blocks away, on the left. The next mile or two of Fremont St.
is packed full of cheap "pay by the week" motels and is not a pleasant neighborhood.
