The south end of Las Vegas Blvd. - March 2006

Head south on Las Vegas Blvd. past Tropicana, past Mandalay Bay, past the "Drive Carefully" message on the back of the famous "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada" sign. Keep going and going. After about 45 minutes, you'll reach the spot where the two photos above were taken. While this isn't actually the end of what was Las Vegas Blvd. (it continues as a narrow, poorly maintained desert trail), it's the end of 2-lane pavement. That tunnel in the photo on the right is barely wide enough for one car to fit through.
