The "altitude" series was taken from the top of the Stratosphere, which is about 4 miles from the south end of the strip (Tropicana,
Mandalay Bay, Luxor). It costs about $10 to ride the elevator up to the top, and there's a Starbucks up there along with three
different thrill rides, and coin operated binocular/telescope things. The outdoor observation deck is only open when the weather is
nice. As you can see, it's a great spot for shooting photos.
This is a wide angle shot that attempts to capture the entire
Las Vegas strip, plus the Rio and Palms on Flamingo Rd.
