Las Vegas series #2 pictures were shot a few days before Christmas 2003 with a 3 megapixel Fuji S-5000. This is my favorite time to visit Las Vegas: just after the annual
National Finals Rodeo, when the city is taken over by cowboys; and before the insane crowds of Christmas arrive. Although the temperature can drop
below freezing at night, I've never been rained on in Las Vegas in December... unlike some soggy & sandstormy visits I've made in February and March.
I stayed at the Aladdin for this trip, so this series of photos is concentrated
on the central & south Strip area. This is kind of a transitional series of photos which marks the point where I began to learn how to shoot good night
shots of bright neon lights; and is also the point where I had decided to begin recording each trip to Las Vegas as a separate series or volume of photos,
whereas my Las Vegas Volume 1 series is a conglomeration of many visits to Las Vegas over a period of about 10 years.
