One of the more upscale & higher priced Strip properties, although they are fading in comparison to newer, more glamorous properties like the Wynn, Venetian and Bellagio. Almost every visitor to Las Vegas stops in front of the Mirage at least once to watch the simulated erupting volcano show (which is actually some flames fueled by natural gas.) There's an Outback Steakhouse across the street, you might get what they call the "best seat in the house" which has a perfect view of the volcano while you dine.
