Good south/central location, the casino is big, has a nice atmosphere and there is a small "village" of shops that attempt to reproduce Greenwich Village as it appeared in the 1940s. We've never stayed here so I can't comment on the quality of the rooms but we enjoy the atmosphere of the casino. Like most Las Vegas south strip area properties, New York New York is "mid level" which means it's neither a run down low budget hotel nor is it an upscale luxury hotel. Get a suite if you can afford it as most "deluxe rooms" (what hotels call their smallest, most basic rooms) are small (around 400 sq ft.)
