Rio - 3700 West Flamingo Road
Las Vegas, NV 89103    1-888-746-7153
Rio Suites has been owned by Harrah's since 2002 or so. I stayed there twice prior to 2002 and would recommend Rio as a better than average property although
the location is not ideal and many people have complained about the Rio going "downhill" since the change in ownership to Harrah's.
Every room is a suite (really big), is nicely furnished and the overall atmosphere of the property is pleasant; themed
sort of like it's Mardi Gras in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The cocktail waitresses have famously skimpy outfits, and
the Rio's mascot "Rio Rita" may greet you with fruit on her head.
The casino is known for being "tight", however (you have a poor chance of winning).
The main disadvantage here is that you can't go out and walk around to other casinos unless you don't mind the long trek
down Flamingo Rd. to Las Vegas Blvd. Palms and Gold Coast are nearby but the strip is about a mile away. The walk is
safer now that there is a pedestrian walkway over the freeway.
