Circus Circus Las Vegas

Circus Circus Las Vegas
Circus Circus Las Vegas

Circus Circus seems like a redundant name, like New York New York. Formerly MGM Resorts properties, Phil Ruffin now owns Circus Circus and Treasure Island. Opened in 1968, 2 years after Caesars Palace, Circus Circus doesn't appear to have been as well maintained as Caesars over the years. This is a unique property however in that there are live circus acts you can watch at no charge. They also have carnival style games in the arcade which makes it a good choice for families with children (although we're not going to take sides in the argument as to whether or not children should be brought to Las Vegas.) Circus Circus also has one of the most popular steak houses in Las Vegas, despite being a budget property. Slots-A-Fun next door is also part of the Circus Circus property.

Slots A Fun Las Vegas
Slots A Fun Las Vegas

Slots A Fun as seen in 2002. They used to have beers like Heineken, Becks, and Fosters Lager for low prices, initially 75 cents, then $1, then $1.25. We're unsure what the price is now. It's very likely lower than most of the other casinos on the strip. Slots A Fun is like a downtown Fremont Street casino on the strip.
