W Las Vegas

W was originally a second room tower for Mandalay Bay. In 2003 it was renamed THEhotel, In 2014, it was renamed again to Delano. Marriott bought the property in 2024 and changed the name to W, partnering with MGM Resorts International to make this the 12th property on the Las Vegas strip in the Marriott Bonvoy MGM Collection. The above photo from December 2019 shows Delano next to the Luxor pyramid and behind the Tropicana, which was demolished in October 2024. W does not have a casino but their guests have access to Mandalay Bay. All of the rooms at W are suites, there are about 15 different room types.

This 2002 image shows both Mandalay Bay towers branded as "Mandalay Bay", it's not a reflection. San Remo and Tropicana are in the foreground, Luxor is to the right. Tropicana was demolished in 2024 and San Remo became Hooters then the OYO Hotel & Casino. Hooters restaurant is still there, only the hotel changed ownership.
