THEhotel December 2006, as seen from our room in The Luxor. THEhotel became Delano for a few years, and is now the "W".

Desert Inn. I can tell by the image quality that this is one of the few film images we shot in Las Vegas, so I'm guessing it was 1995. Desert Inn was one of the smallest and dullest casinos imaginable. Steve Wynn bought it in 2000 and imploded it so that his new Wynn resort could be built in the same place.
Retro Las Vegas
This page is for Las Vegas buildings which no longer exist AND that we only have a few photos of. The old Las Vegas properties we have a lot of photos of, such as Stardust and Riviera, either have their own pages or will have them.

The Algiers existed from 1953 to 2004 at 2845 Las Vegas Blvd., just south of where the Venetian is.

Fitzgerald's, also known as "The Fitz", was in downtown Las Vegas on Fremont Street from 1987 to 2012. It was the Sundance before 1987 and became the "D" in 2012. The theme of the property was "the luck of the Irish."

The original Las Vegas Hilton on Paradise Rd. This building is now the Westgate hotel. The Las Vegas Hilton is now at Resorts World.

Not to be confused with the Klondike Sunset Casino, the Klondike Hotel operated from 1976 to 2006 and was demolished in 2008. It was near the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign at 5191 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
